HPDF’s and HPC’s Peace Culture Program 2017-2020 aims to promote Peace Culture’s core values:
It was designed to foster awareness, attitude, and behavior towards appreciation for peace, elimination of violence, and resolution of social and family disputes on the basis of the rule of law and mutual respect, upholding a humane and cultured lifestyle. The mode of implementation is a Peace Culture Day (PCD) held in 2018, 2019 and 2021 respectively. Each was preluded by a launch event. PCD 2018 on October 13, focusing on the theme ‘For a Non-Violence Society’. PCD 2019, on December 8, focused on the theme ‘For a humane and peaceful society – Let’s join hands to prevent and push back violence & abuse’, especially towards women and children. Under the COVID-19 pandemic circumstances, PCD 2020 was launched on November 7, 2020, and officially held on April 2, 2021, with the theme ‘Living in Peace: Me, Us and All of Us’.
Launch of PCP Program (Nov .18, 2017) introduces to the public and VNU-HCM students the Program’s concept, purposes, and tentative activities to be implemented during 2017-2020.
PCD 2018 highlights Peace Culture core values and provides diverse presentations and manifestations of peace culture from over 30 participating organizations/groups/famous people.
PCD 2019 focuses on the themes concerning school violence, abuse and violence against women and children, and youth-related online violence and abuse.
PCD 2020 devotes to the theme ‘Peace & Arts’ with peace talks shared by well-known speakers with students and young audiences.

Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation was established by the decision of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, which is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO). The foundation operates on a voluntary, non-profit basis.
