On August 19, 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation in collaboration with CEFALT organized an exchange as a restart activity for the Saigon Club of Translators and Interpreters (SGCIT) to catalyze relevant parties. together in the post-COVID context to: Provide a brief outline of the Vietnamese translation and interpretation market in the post-epidemic period; Summary of the current situation of translation and interpretation training and the issues facing training units; Create opportunities to connect participants in the translation and interpretation market.

"CURRENT STATUS AND IMPORTANCE OF TRANSLATION FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION OF VIETNAM"
The purpose of the discussion organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation and the Saigon Club of Translators and Interpreters (SGCI&T) is to invite parties to participate in translation activities and markets in the North and South together. Outline the overall landscape of translation activities and work in Vietnam and explain the reasons leading to that current situation. This discussion is not an academic activity. What the Organizing Committee wants is to listen to how parties such as translation employers, professionals, training parties, etc. have a say in the current status of translation activities.
