The purpose of the discussion organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation and the Saigon Club of Translators and Interpreters (SGCI&T) is to invite parties to participate in translation activities and markets in the North and South together. On January 15, at the Headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, the discussion session on completing the Philanthropy Ecosystem in Việt Nam Report on the Volunteer Ecosystem in Vietnam (PFS) took place successfully, with participation of representatives of unions, non-governmental organizations – non-profit organizations, and businesses. Many comments and suggestions on the draft Report and useful recommendations were recorded through two lively and practical discussion sessions.

On Friday afternoon (2nd April, 2021), the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation will coordinate with partner units to organize the first event in the 2021 Peace Culture Program – Me, We & Us. Recently, HPDF has received a lot of good news from students from the OI (Orange Initiative) scholarship when they successfully graduated from university.
Congratulations to Duong Hoang Anh Tu, Nguyen Thi Phuong Quynh and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Han (of the Tam Viet Talent Scholarship) for successfully graduating. Among them, Phuong Quynh graduate with Honors, and Ngoc Han has the highest academic results in the Management Information System major. Along with that is Thanh Nhan – a student beneficiary of the Foundation’s OI Orange Initiative scholarship, who graduates from Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking with an Honors degree. And Ngo Thi Tra My – a student beneficiary of the Foundation’s Tam Viet Talent Scholarship, successfully graduated from University of Economics HCMC with an excellent degree!

On January 17, 2021, Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation (HPDF) coordinated with Pulse Active – the organizer of the Salonpas HCMC Marathon 2021 to organize the program “OI RUN 2021: Running with People with Disabilities” on Sunday morning January 17, 2021 at Tan Trao Street, Tan Phu Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
To raise awareness and sympathy of the community in efforts to overcome the difficult circumstances of people with disabilities, Agent Orange victims and wartime landmine victims (PWD/AOS/UXO), as well as create To create a new playground for people, connecting the spirit of solidarity, optimism and love of life in the community, the HPDF Foundation organized the program “OI RUN 2021: Running with People with Disabilities”. From 2017 up to now, the “Orange Initiative Run” program has become an annual activity of the Foundation every January. 2021 is the 5th year that HPDF Foundation organizes this program.
With the OI Run Orange Run, people with disabilities will participate in running/walking on the 5km run, with the support of individuals and volunteer groups. Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, Mr. Mai Ba Hung, visited the OI Run exhibition booth and encouraged people with disabilities to participate in running.
In addition to organizing a running competition and awarding prizes to the 3 athletes who finish first, this year the program also includes cultural exchanges from participating groups such as: Sword dancing of the Martial Arts Club for the Disabled and orphans; Sign dance of the CED Deaf Center; Singing exchange between Cu Chi Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, DRD Center and disabled students benefiting from the HPDF Foundation’s Orange Initiative Scholarship. Notably, the group of student beneficiaries of the Foundation’s Tam Viet Talent Scholarship actively joined hands with the OI Run Organizing Committee.
