Peace Culture Program

About the Program

The Peace Culture Program (2017–2020), initiated by HPDF in collaboration with HPC, promotes a set of core values that foster a culture of peace:

  • Rejecting violence and respecting all forms of life
  • Promoting social justice, democracy, human rights, environmental sustainability, and cultural heritage preservation
  • Encouraging listening, dialogue, tolerance, and respect for diversity
  • Fostering empathy, solidarity, and social inclusion
  • Balancing the identity of being Vietnamese citizens and global citizens

The program aims to cultivate awareness, attitudes, and behaviors that value peace—encouraging individuals and communities to reject violence, resolve conflicts through dialogue and the rule of law, and embrace a humane and civilized way of living.

The program was primarily implemented through the Peace Culture Day (PCD), organized in 2018, 2019, and 2021, each preceded by a launch or outreach event.
